A buckling-restrained brace connects at a W30 beam and column junction. The assembly incorporates a W18 brace framing into a gusset plate, with top and bottom plates sized to match the thickest beam flange plus one-quarter inch. A W18 beam connects to the column line using a Type C4 connection per typical details. Gusset plates are provided per the brace supplier requirements with a length matching the buckling-restrained brace gusset length. Shear connections for the braces are provided per plan reactions and typical details.
