Built-up box sections formed from structural studs and tracks connected with sheet metal screws comprise the cold-formed steel framing. The header assembly consists of an 800S162-43 stud nested within 350T150-43 tracks fastened by number 10 sheet metal screws at twelve inches on center staggered typical. The boxed king stud uses a 600S162-43 stud framed into 350T150-43 tracks with identical screw fastening. Track attachment to studs occurs at each flange using number 10 screws along with a Simpson RCKW3 connector secured by four number 12 sheet metal screws.
