A slab-on-grade concrete floor transitions to a thickened edge supported by subgrade material. The edge features a minimum depth of one foot six inches and a width of six inches at the base. Reinforcement consists of one continuous number four rebar at the top and bottom, combined with number four bars spaced at twenty-four inches on center. Finished grade meets the exterior face of the thickened concrete edge.
