An elevated slab per S-403 bears adjacent to a concrete masonry unit wall per plan with exterior veneer. A hollow structural section girt frames above the masonry wall, supported by a W8X24 girt bracket. The girt bracket connects to a structural column per schedule using a 1/2-inch by 8-inch by 9-inch plate with two rows of two 3/4-inch diameter A490-SC oversized bolts at 4 inches on center each way, supplemented by typical 1/2-inch stiffener plates. Fillet welds of 3/16-inch size connect the members on three sides. Wall panels and exterior veneer are installed per architectural drawings A-351 through A-353.
