A column aligns with the centerline symmetry of the supporting beam and connects through a one-half-inch plate matching the beam flange width. Four three-quarter-inch diameter A325SC bolts secure the connection through the plate and flange. Full height stiffener or shear plates of three-eighths-inch minimum thickness are provided on each side per plan.
