An existing unreinforced masonry wall supports a roof diaphragm with an architectural cornice. The roof construction consists of one-half-inch plywood over one-inch straight sheathing and framing, with dimensions varying in the field. Existing framing members bear directly on the masonry wall, verified in the field as required. Nailers and connections secure the roof sheathing to the masonry backing.
