Studrail shear reinforcement is installed at a concrete slab transition where the slab thickness varies. The assembly includes top and bottom reinforcing steel bars running continuously through the connection. A one-inch concrete cover is maintained at the top surface, while a three-quarter-inch concrete cover is provided at the bottom surface. Studrails are anchored vertically between the top and bottom reinforcement layers across the step in the concrete slab thickness.
