Concrete slab edge curbs feature reinforcing steel configurations for varying curb widths. The left detail includes a curb for widths between four and eight inches, reinforced with one continuous number four bar, number four hairpins spaced at twenty-four inches on center, and a turn hook into the slab edge. The right detail includes a wider curb for widths between eight and sixteen inches, reinforced with two continuous number four bars and associated hairpins. Minimum clearances of one and one-half inches and three inches are maintained throughout the assembly. General notes direct the builder to architectural drawings for specific curb dimensions.
