An elevator sill detail features a continuous bent plate anchored to a structural steel beam supporting a concrete slab on metal deck. A continuous sill angle and connection is provided by the elevator contractor. Reinforcing includes number 4 stud weldable rebar at one foot six inches on center, number 4 continuous rebar, and number 4 rebar at twelve inches on center for contact lap splicing with slab reinforcement. A one-quarter inch fillet weld attaches the bent plate to the steel beam continuously at each end.
