A hollow structural section steel column rests on a twelve-millimetre-thick baseplate offset from the centre of the column with steel shims at the ends. Ten-millimetre-thick stiffener plates are provided typically. Twenty-four PT_H ten-by-one-hundred fasteners with a sixty-millimetre minimum embedment are installed in pre-drilled holes into the cross-laminated timber floor panel. A continuous glulam beam runs below, alongside a drag strap positioned per plan.
