A steel stringer bears on a concrete slab on grade featuring a thickened footing that is two feet wide typically. An L3x3x1/4 angle connects the stringer to the slab using a three-quarter-inch diameter by eight-inch expansion anchor bolt at each stringer typically. A three-sixteenths-inch fillet weld is applied to three sides of the stringer as shown.
