Reinforcing layouts for twelve-inch concrete masonry unit non-load bearing walls at corners, intersections, short intersecting walls, and short walls. Vertical and horizontal reinforcement is installed per the CMU non-load bearing wall reinforcement schedule. Corners and intersections require number five corner bars for each layer or continuous reinforcement around corners with lap lengths matching typical CMU dimensions, supplemented by additional number five vertical bars. Short intersecting walls and short walls are detailed with dimensions ranging from two feet eight inches minimum to four feet maximum, maintaining one-half inch clearances and number four ties at eight inches on center with multiple number five vertical bars.
