A steel hollow structural section column and a diagonal brace connect to a base assembly anchored into a concrete pier. The twenty-four by thirty-two inch concrete pier contains ten number eight vertical bars with three sets of number four ties spaced at two and a half inches on center, transitioning to six inches on center. The pier sets into a concrete footing with footing reinforcement sized per the schedule and an embedment depth of one foot six inches. Anchor bolts secure the base plate into the foundation assembly.
