A bent beam sized per plan frames into a supporting structural steel beam with the top of steel elevation determined per plan. One-half inch thick stiffener plates are welded to both sides of the beam web and flange. A complete penetration weld is specified at the beam web and flange, supplemented by a one-quarter inch fillet weld on three sides.
