A steel structural girder connects to a round hollow structural section column utilizing a 12-inch by 16-inch by 7/8-inch thick plate positioned between the girder top chord angles. Two 3/4-inch diameter A325-N bolts on the beam gage secure the connection along with L6x6x7/16 by 8-inch long steel angles featuring 1/2-inch stiffeners at the center of each side of the plate. A 3/4-inch by 6-inch by 0-foot 6-inch stabilizer plate is provided typically at the girders.
