Headed reinforcement bars require a minimum clear cover of two bar diameters and a clear spacing between bars of at least four bar diameters. Designation tags specify quantity, bar size, headed bar designation, and spacing. The bearing area of the headed bar and bar thickness are detailed alongside the naming convention.
