A concrete housekeeping pad is placed over a concrete-filled metal deck and reinforced with number 3 bars spaced at twelve inches on center each way. Number 3 dowels are epoxy-embedded into the metal deck fill at twelve inches on center, centered on the nearest low flute, and detailed with three inches of typical clear spacing. The housekeeping pad has a maximum thickness of six inches, with one and a half inches of clear cover to the top reinforcement and two and a quarter inches typical clear cover to the deck. Dimensions and surface elevations of the housekeeping pad are coordinated with architectural and mechanical, electrical, and plumbing drawings.
