A wide flange beam connects to a supporting member using a one-half inch shear tab welded with five-sixteenths fillet welds. Three-eighths by nine-inch plate stiffeners align with the shear tab and are welded with five-sixteenths fillet welds. A five-inch return weld is applied at the top and bottom. Floor and roof deck are omitted per reference plan and details.
