An interior wide flange column supports wide flange beams connecting via standard wide flange beam-to-column connections. A cross-laminated timber deck spans beyond the beam, topped with a concrete topping slab containing slab reinforcement sized per plan. A stabilizer plate is provided per detail 3/S01-2202, or a one-quarter-inch steel closure plate is used where the stabilizer plate is not required or for steel connections. A metal closure plate is provided by the contractor typically at the slab edge.
