A built-up steel stair stringer anchors to a thickened concrete footing and slab on grade. The concrete slab features number five reinforcing bars at spacing each way over a roughened surface, with continuous number five bars at all pad edges. Number four Z-bars occur at specified spacing along the perimeter. The thickened concrete footing extends twelve inches beyond the extent of the concrete above.
