Concrete masonry unit non-load bearing walls feature bond beams reinforced with horizontal bars positioned about the center line of the wall. Type A incorporates a single reinforcing bar with standard half-inch minimum clearance. Type B accommodates two reinforcing bars requiring a one-inch minimum clearance where applicable. Vertical reinforcement is placed per the concrete masonry unit non-load bearing wall reinforcing schedule.
