A two-inch concrete tread sits inside a typical twelve-gauge metal pan, supported by a stair stringer sized per plan. The tread-to-tread connection uses a one-eighth-inch fillet weld at four to twelve inches on center. The pan-to-stringer connection uses a one-eighth-inch fillet weld at six inches on center. A guardrail post connects directly to the stair assembly per architectural drawings.
