A twelve-inch insulated architectural precast concrete wall connects to the structural steel framing using a continuous five-sixteenths by six-inch steel plate. The embedment in the precast wall provides both vertical slip and lateral slip in the plane of the wall, with connection details delegated to the precast manufacturer. A continuous three-sixteenths fillet weld with three-inch welds at twelve-inch spacing secures the connection plate to the supporting steel member. The top of steel elevation and floor deck direction are coordinated per the architectural and structural plans.
