A hollow structural section steel beam connects to a concrete tilt-up panel using a continuous three-by-three by three-eighths inch angle at the embed. A three-eighths by ten-inch by four-foot plate is anchored with one three-quarter-inch diameter by five-inch heavy stud anchor and one half-inch diameter by twenty-four-inch deformed bar anchor at sixteen inches on center starting at the beam elevation. Fillet welds of one-quarter inch size with four-twelve stagger are applied typically at the connection. A one-inch clearance is maintained at the structural steel beam where it occurs.
