The canopy framing utilizes hollow structural section members supported by a structural steel plate embedded into the concrete wall. A one-half-inch by eight-inch by one-foot-eight-inch steel plate is secured with four number six bent anchors at the top and two three-quarter-inch diameter by five-inch long welded studs with full penetration welds. Wire mesh is tack-welded to the steel and the void is filled with non-shrink grout after welding. Additional hollow structural section members sized two by two are spaced per plan with specified fillet welds.
