A structural steel truss girder frames into a column using a grade 50 one-inch by two-foot-six-inch knife plate welded with a seven-sixteenth-inch weld. Three three-eighths-inch stiffener plates at four-inch gauge are centered on the web and welded with a one-quarter-inch fillet weld. A three-quarter-inch by one-foot-two-inch wide plate connects with two three-quarter-inch diameter erection bolts typically. A three-quarter-inch by six-inch stabilizer plate is left unwelded to the girder with a five-sixteenth-inch weld to the support below.
