A concrete slab over metal deck bears on a wide-flange steel beam with an edge overhang condition. The assembly features a metal deck closure plate with a one-half-inch return, detailed per the accompanying edge form gauge schedule for varying slab depths and overhang dimensions. Flute deck closure is specified at high flutes only, while low flutes remain open to allow uninterrupted concrete pouring. Trim reinforcing is provided per reference 1/S602, and overhang dimensions are coordinated with the structural framing plan.
