A C8 steel channel serves as infill framing beneath a concrete slab on metal deck. Closure plates bridge the deck profiles and are secured with three-sixteenths inch fillet welds. Shear studs spaced at twelve inches on center maximum tie the slab to the supporting structure. A one-quarter by three-and-one-half by zero-foot-six-inch plate connects the assembly using two seven-eighths inch diameter bolts spaced at three inches on center typical.
