An 8-inch hollow structural section girt bears upon a concrete masonry unit wall and is tied back with a bent plate connection. The bent plate is welded to the girt with a three-sixteenth-inch fillet weld spaced at six inches on center and anchored into the masonry. Architectural wall panels and exterior veneer align vertically with the girt and masonry per architectural drawings. A structural grid line is located two feet ten inches from the wall assembly.
