W8 steel beams frame into a vertical steel column assembly utilizing typical 3/8 inch plates and anchor bolts with washers and nuts. Fillet welds of 1/4 inch and 5/16 inch sizes connect the structural elements according to the AISC workable gage standard. A 3/16 inch typical weld is applied at the plate-to-column connection.
