A water heater weighing a maximum of sixteen hundred pounds rests on a concrete housekeeping pad poured over a concrete on metal deck assembly. Double jamb studs are provided on each side of the water heater at the strap anchor locations per plan, with double blocking connections detailed elsewhere. The plumbing straps are secured to the jamb studs using two quarter-inch sheet metal screws at each strap. An elevation detail shows the overall vertical bracing layout while a horizontal section details the strap attachment to the stud framing.
