A continuous angle supports the cold-formed metal framing or curtain wall stud at the edge of a composite concrete slab over metal deck. The composite slab bears on a wide-flange steel beam with deck orientation sized per plan. A vertical slip connection designed by the curtain wall or cold-formed steel supplier resists lateral loads only. An L8x4x1/2 continuous long leg horizontal angle is welded with a three-sixteenths inch fillet weld at twelve-inch spacing. A kicker angle and connection are provided as required per detail 10/S-553, with the top kicker connection located eight inches back from the slab edge. Composite slab reinforcement is omitted for clarity.
