This ridge connection joins two special moment frame beams at the roof peak using a central gusset plate assembly. The beams are connected to the gusset plates with mechanical fasteners through the flanges. The central gusset plates are joined at the ridge line with complete joint penetration welds. Roof deck is installed over the beams as specified per plan.
