A reinforced concrete slab on grade transitions into a one foot six inch deep turn-down footing with a one foot width at the base. The footing includes two continuous number four reinforcing bars at the top, one continuous number four bar at the bottom, and number four bars spaced at eighteen inches along the haunch. A thirty inch dimension marks the extent of the haunched transition back to the standard slab thickness. Finished grade is indicated at the top exterior face of the footing.
