A precast concrete panel connects to a horizontal HSS 3 1/2 x 2 1/2 x 1/4 structural steel tube via embedded steel plates and reinforcing bars. Two number 6 drag bars, four feet zero inches long with ninety-degree bends as required, extend from the precast panel into a block-out pocket over a one-half-inch steel plate. A three-eighths-inch by four-inch wide steel plate welds to the tube with five-sixteenths-inch fillet welds on three sides. Plates measuring three-eighths-inch by six inches by zero feet six inches weld to each side with one-quarter-inch fillet welds. Wire mesh tack-welds to the steel assembly and fills with drypack grout.
