Diagonal and vertical laps are secured with number 12 self-drilling metal screws adhering to specified fastener counts. An outline of backing framed into the wall is indicated along with fiber cement board attachments. General notes require a minimum spacing of 1 1/2 inches and a 1/2-inch minimum edge distance for all connections.
