Drag beams and joists require a minimum length beyond walls and must extend onto adjacent walls when unspecified. Drag blocking uses straps specified per the structural plans with two lines of blocking nails. Beam hangers and inverted beam hangers are provided as typical unless noted otherwise, using Simpson HUCQ connectors for engineered lumber and Simpson HU connectors for conventional lumber.
