The concrete footing terminates with top and bottom reinforcing mats extending a minimum of 24 inches beyond the footing face. All exposed reinforcing bars feature an epoxy coating for corrosion protection. Exposed dowels are encased in low-strength compressible fill to facilitate future connection and movement. The footing is sized and reinforced per the structural plan.
