This assembly connects a new concrete slab-on-grade to an existing concrete slab using number four reinforcing bar dowels. The dowels are two feet six inches long, spaced at eighteen inches on center, and anchored into the existing slab using an adhesive anchoring system with a minimum embedment of six inches. The new slab reinforcement must match the existing slab reinforcement as specified in note five. The new slab-on-grade is finished to match the existing joint spacing.
