Concrete over metal deck features a square framed opening reinforced with hollow structural section members running parallel to the deck flutes. A number 5 reinforcing bar spans above the hollow structural section beam below the web of the steel decking. Spacing is maintained at twenty-four inches maximum with twelve inches typical dimensions around the opening. Welds secure the structural framing into the deck flutes at typical locations.
