Adjacent cross-laminated timber panels are connected using a seven-eighths-inch Structural I plywood spline set into routed panel joints with a maximum one-eighth-inch gap. The spline is fastened to each CLT panel with two rows of WSV3S screws spaced at nine inches on center typically. Splines located within ten feet in any direction of a tension rod brace to CLT panel connection require an increased fastening schedule of two rows of WSV3S screws at three inches on center.
