A concrete slab over metal deck steps down across a structural steel beam configured with a continuous angle stop. The assembly includes a continuous angle L4x3x1/4 with legs long horizontal secured to the framing and a three-quarter-inch chamfer at the slab edge. Reinforcing dowels match the slab reinforcement with a five-inch minimum lap splice. Three-sixteenth-inch fillet welds attach the deck components at twelve-inch spacing per plan.
