A continuous steel beam as sized per plan frames into a wide flange column. Minimum 5/8 inch thick top and bottom plates connect with A325 through bolts, requiring a minimum of four bolts. Three-eighths inch thick full height stiffener plates are welded to each side of the column web with a spacing matching the column depth.
