A single opening in a metal deck is framed by beams per plan with specific reinforcing bar layouts. One number four bar runs perpendicular to the deck flute placed one inch clear above the deck, extending two feet minimum or two inches typical each side of the opening. One number four bottom bar runs parallel to the deck placed one inch clear from the bottom of the nearest deck flute. Opening dimensions range from six inches to two feet as detailed.
