A timber roof fin is connected to the underside of a cross-laminated timber roof deck using a concealed kerf plate connection. The steel kerf plate inserts directly into a precut slot within the structural timber element and is secured with through-bolts or pins. The fin structural sizing and geometry are coordinated per the architectural drawings.
