Two orthogonal views show a structural steel connection with W-shape beams sized per framing plan, tied together with diagonal steel rods utilizing clevises where applicable. A galvanized cold-formed purlin bears on top of the beam, secured with two five-eighths-inch machine bolts at each purlin. One-half-inch by four-inch by zero-foot-five-and-one-half-inch typical stiffener plates are welded to the web with quarter-inch fillet welds. Additional notes dictate specific weld conditions based on root opening dimensions.
