A structural steel column base plate connection plan featuring a 1 3/4-inch-thick Grade 50 steel base plate secured by ten 1-inch-diameter AR-2 high-strength anchor rods with 24-inch embedment into concrete. Each anchor rod uses a 3/8-inch by 3-inch by 3-inch plate washer. A shear lug is positioned below the base plate, and blockouts are extended on each side for grout inspection. Fillet welds of 1/4-inch size are typically applied where indicated.
