A structural girt connects to a steel column flange using top and bottom L6x4x3/8 angles with a width matching the column flange. A three-eighths-inch stiffener plate is provided at bearing locations beneath the bottom angle. Five-sixteenths-inch fillet welds secure the angles to the column and girt members.
