A glulam landing platform bears on a continuous hollow structural section steel member designated as HSS6x4x1/4. The structural support assembly utilizes a continuous 5-by-5-inch by 5/16-inch steel angle secured to the underside of the glulam platform with quarter-inch diameter by 3-inch self-drilling screws spaced at 12 inches on center. The steel angle and support components are connected with 3/16-inch fillet welds configured with intermittent or specified spacing.
