A CoreBrace buckling-restrained brace connects to a steel column and steel beam through a gusset plate welded to the structural members. Stiffener plates are welded to the steel column flanges and beam webs as required by the brace design. Complete joint penetration welds secure the gusset plate at the column and beam flanges, with sizing and lengths indicated by variables. The connection layout is similar at the brace top connection.
